New Funding to Boost Research on Older People 10 March 2010 \| FP Editor The Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland (CARDI) is increasing the grants for research on ageing issues in Ireland. It is offering up to €100,000 for research projects that will improve the lives of older people.	Creating a Successful Legacy Programme Seminar 10 March 2010 \| FP Editor Legacy Promotion Ireland (LPI) will be holding a seminar, Creating a Successful Legacy Programme, in Dublin on 31 March. The main speaker will be Richard Radcliffe, a legacy expert with more than a quarter century of experience in the voluntary sector.
Social Finance Conference to Focus on Job Creation 05 March 2010 \| FP Editor Clann Credo’s annual conference, Common Cents 2010, will examine the contribution that social enterprise can make in the critical area of job creation, particularly from a community perspective.	Age Action Charity Shops to Close 05 March 2010 \| FP Editor Age Action Ireland has announced that it is to close two of its five stores. The charity, which campaigns and provides services for the elderly, said it had no option but to close the shops which were no longer breaking even.
