Who's behind it?

The Wheel is a leading support and representative body connecting community and voluntary organisations and charities across Ireland. It currently has over 800 member organisations large and small across all parts of the sector in Ireland.

Fundingpoint.ie is funded by the Vodafone Ireland Foundation. Thanks are due to Create for permission to use its Irish Fundraising Handbook as a starting point for the directory. The site has been modelled on www.grant-tracker.org developed by the Northern Irish Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA).

What's different about Fundingpoint.ie?

Developed by a charity for the benefit of charities and other good causes in the community, Fundingpoint.ie focuses specifically on funding available to the community and voluntary sector in the Republic of Ireland.

How is Fundingpoint.ie funded?

A significant portion of the initial development costs were funded by a once-off project grant from the Vodafone Ireland Foundation. To sustain a daily updated website we have to charge a modest annual subscription rate to cover the cost of the funding opportunities research, keeping it all up-to-date and improving your experience of using the website.

What are the future plans for Fundingpoint.ie?

We hope to improve the site by adding new tools and views and improving even further the quality and comprehensiveness of the information we provide. We have also recently introduced an Events section, listing details for training courses, seminars and charity fundraising events.
